A queer thing happened i today’s conversation with a friend of mine.
Friend: I’m going to GenCon next year.
Me: Eh?
Friend: Yep, I have it all planned out.
Me:… How much do you estimate it’ll cost to go?
Friend: About 6K if you’re going alone.
note: actual conversation varies. I can’t actually remember every word
Really. It’s a once in a lifetime oppurtunity, that’s to be sure. But….. I dunno. I’d lie if I said I’m not tempted. But the thing is can I actually afford to go? Hmm… issues….
I’d feel a lot better if I’m a millionaire or something.
Note: GenCon is an annual gaming convention held in California (methinks). Next year is super special for anyone playing Legend of the Five Rings, and that’s what made me twitch.
